MARVAC RV Shows (Flint and Detroit)
Every year, All Seasons Communications fully dives into promoting MARVAC's
camper & RV shows throughout Michigan. ASC's goal in promoting the shows is to
bring consumers to shows. Our method includes a diversified mix of advertising
and public relations efforts.
First, the ASC staff compares the pricing and reach of media outlets in print,
radio, TV and Internet, working within the budget MARVAC sets up for each show.
Once all options are analyzed carefully and ad space is reserved, ASC works on
the creative. Ad copy and scripts are written, print and Internet ads are
designed, voice talent is hired for radio and TV ads, and video production is
completed. An e-newsletter with information on the shows is sent to 10,200
consumers who have signed up through marvac.org,
MARVAC's Web site.
A full online media kit consisting of 4 to 5 press releases is written for each
show. Releases are written to contain creative angles and draw media attention
to the show. ASC creates a targeted media list to send press releases to and
then follows up with all media contacts. One to two releases are sent over the
newswire. The success of the PR is monitored to share with MARVAC, as well as
the dealers and exhibitors participating in the show.
ASC coordinates and designs flyers, signage, posters and floor plans for each
show. Collateral materials like "Camper & RV Show" window clings were created
to let venue visitors know about the upcoming event. ASC updates the Web site
in a timely fashion to include all show information, including a downloadable
2-for-1 coupon and an entry form for consumers to sign up to win free tickets.
A member of the ASC is present each day of the shows to help the MARVAC staff
in any way necessary.
So, were the shows successful? Yes! Even in the struggling economy, the winter
RV shows had good attendance and resulted in satisfied dealers and exhibitors.
